What to do in the event of a Road Traffic Accident?

Don' panic, stay calm and ensure no-one is injured.

We have complied a quick checklist for you, if, In the unfortunate event you are involved in a road traffic accident.

What to do in the event of a road traffic accident:

  • Don't drive off. Stop, turn your engine off and switch on your hazard lights.
  • Ensure no-one is injured, if required call the ambulance & police.
  • Take a note of the situation, date, time, location, road conditions and damage to all vehicles involved (take photos or sketch of the scene)
  • Share your name and address with everyone involved & make a note of the damage or any injuries caused – you must do this by law.
  • Ask for details of any passengers who were in the vehicles
  • Ask for Witness details before they disappear
  • You will of course have to notify your insurance company of the incident.
  • Contact the Team here at Individual Specialist Cars ; Why?If you are involved a non-fault accident, you have the right to choose who repairs your vehicle, insist that your vehicle is repaired by a Manufacturer Approved Repairer.

Our accident aftercare service is simple:

  1. Call our accident aftercare team on 0121 236 2394 and provide details about the accident, the third party and any witnesses.

  2. We organise your repairs for you and liaise with your insurer and the third party for you.

  3. We provide you with a like for like vehicle as per your legal rights*

  4. We will handle all your uninsured losses and can handle any personal injury claim for you saving you the hassle of pursuing it yourself.

  5. We monitor the repairs of your vehicle and keep you fully up to date through our online claims portal.

  6. You come, collect your vehicle when repairs are completed.
