POSITION: M.E.T. TECHNICIAN - SOLIHULL


Due to Business expansion; we are looking for qualified M.E.T. Technicians; experts in their trade and passionate about what they do. Professional, organised, committed to excellence, with exceptional attention to detail and customer focused individuals, to join us at our new Bodyshop site in Solihull.



The Role: 


  • Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs
  • Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop
  • Carrying out inspections, fault-finding and diagnostic work
  • Identifying any extra damage and reporting to VDA department 
  • Using correct manufacturer diagnostic equipment and navigate to fault find and report any findings to VDA department 
  • Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition
  • Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales
  • Work skilfully and safely under pressure
  • Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers' methods, standards and specifications
  • Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind
  • Working with Prestige Vehicles, Supercars, Electric & Hybrid Vehicles
  • Using the correct equipment, tooling and repair methods to the standards set by manufacturer
  • To ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy
  • Quality check on completion of work, ensuring there are no defects
  • Achieving an ongoing high rate of productivity 



The Person: 


  • You will have gained at least five years’ experience of M.E.T. stripping and fitting within the Automotive Repair Industry and be used to dealing with high volumes of work in a state of the art bodyshop working to both manufacture and company standards.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of the vehicle repair industry with a desire to continually learn ew techniques and processes, ongoing training is provided as required by the Company
  • The knowledge and ability to work with Computer based systems such as EMACS
  • Engaged and open to continuous learning and development
  • The pride and attention to detail to complete each job to the very best of your ability and manufacture standards
  • Be a strong team player with self-motivation, can work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills



Experience & Requirements:

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years working within the automotive Repair Industry as M.E.T. Technician
  • A.T.A. Certified
  • M.E.T. Certified
  • Must have a full UK Driving Licence



Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08.00am - 06.00pm 

                              Saturday 08.00am-12.00pm based on a rota


Salary:                To be reviewed at meeting
