THE ROLE: M.E.T. (Mechanical, Electrical, Trim) Stripper & FitterTechnician
Your Key Responsibilities:
As an M.E.T. Technician at Individual Specialist Cars, you will:
- Dismantle and strip vehicles ready for panel work, exercising meticulous care with prestige and supercar components
- Perform comprehensive inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work on advanced vehicle systems
- Reassemble vehicles with precision, fitting new parts to restore them to pre-accident condition
- Work with cutting-edge technology including electric vehicles, hybrid systems, and ADAS calibration
- Plan and prioritize your workload effectively to meet agreed timescales without compromising quality
- Apply manufacturer-approved methods and specifications for brands ranging from volume manufacturers to exclusive supercar marques
- Conduct quality checks on completion, ensuring zero defects and manufacturer standards are exceeded
- Collaborate as part of a team while demonstrating the ability to work independently with logic and foresight
- Maintain safety excellence by following Health and Safety guidelines, using all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and keeping work areas organised
- Deliver consistent high productivity while maintaining our renowned attention to detail
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Essential Experience & Skills
We're looking for MET Technicians who bring:
Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a MET Technician in the automotive repair industry
- Proven track record of stripping and fitting in a high-volume, state-of-the-art bodyshop environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques, with eagerness to master new technologies
- Experience with prestige vehicles, supercars, EVs, and hybrid systems (highly desirable)
- Proficiency with computer-based systems such as EMACS or equivalent estimating software
- Understanding of manufacturer repair methods and OEM specifications
Professional Qualities:
- Exceptional attention to detail – pride in completing every job to the highest standard
- Strong communication skills – clear, professional interaction with team members and management
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Team player mindset – collaborative yet independently capable

Required Qualifications
- A.T.A. Certified (Automotive Technician Accreditation)
- MET Certified
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Minimum 5 years automotive repair industry experience as MET Technician
