VEHICLE PAINT TECHNICIAN, PREPPER & POLISHER

Are you are a fully qualified Vehicle Spray Painter/Prepper, Vehicle Spray Technician who can produce high-quality workmanship on a full range of vehicle body repairs, then we would like to hear from you.

POSITION OVERVIEW


Responsibilities:

  • Working with Prestige Vehicles, Supercars, Electric & Hybrid Vehicles
  • Prepare vehicles to be sprayed and paint mixing to ensure a perfect match exists ready to paint/spray prepared vehicles
  • Using the correct equipment, tooling and repair methods to the standards set by manufacturer
  • Quality check on completion of work, ensuring there are no defects
  • Achieving an ongoing high rate of productivity 
  • Vehicles to be prepared, prepped, masking and detailing ready to be presented for painting
  • Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicle are ready to agreed timescales
  • To ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example, wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.



CANDIDATE PROFILE


Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician, Prepper and Polisher
  • Must be able to demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of the vehicle repair industry with a desire to continually learn ew techniques and processes, ongoing training is provided as required by the Company
  • The knowledge and ability to work with Computer based systems such as EMACS & AUDATEX
  • Knowledge and understanding of electric vehicles and ultra-high strength steels and repair methods
  • The pride and attention to detail to complete each job to the very best of your ability and manufacture standards, continue to work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
  • Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicle are ready to agreed timescales
  • Be a strong team player with self-motivation and initiative to work on your own merit with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills


Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years working within the automotive Repair Industry as Vehicle Painter, Prepper & Polisher.
  • A.T.A. Certified
  • Must have a full UK Driving Licence


Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 am - 06.00 pm
  • Saturday: 08:00 am - 12:00 pm (on a rotational basis)


Salary: Competitive; to be discussed during the interview.

Location: Birmingham or Solihull (dependant on requirement)

Position Type: Full-Time

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided as needed for the role (subject to terms and conditions).
